The acquisition of Alstom is the biggest industrial investment GE has ever made, and it’s critical to the transformation we are making in the Company.

Welcome to Inspection Robotics

This is a pivotal time in the history of GE. Alstom Inspection Robotics as part of former Alstom Power joins the GE family. We will continue our business under the GE umbrella with a new name INSPECTION ROBOTICS. What will stay is the high quality developments, products and services our customers are used to.

As leader in the robotic inspection industry we built on engineering, innovation and technology. GE is fully committed to continuing our support of the innovation, values and diversity for our customers. The primary target of Inspection Robotics is to grow within the GE network in the power generation industry as well as in oil&gas.

Our Portfolio

manual scanners

Manual scanners are used to guide NDT probes along a desired inspection path. The positioning information is directly fed into the NDT inspection system which results in reliable and repeatable inspections. Our portfolio of manual scanners is very wide, many manual scanners are tailored developments for unique applications and customer needs.

mobile robotics

Mobile robotic inspection systems are the core of our developments. These systems are designed to perform high quality remote operations such as NDT inspections or cleaning tasks. For the operator this means he can concentrate purely on his inspection data while being in safe remote location.

rotating scanners

To reliably inspect bores and pipes of various diameters rotating scanners are used. With encoded position feedback the surface of interest is inspected 100% by overlaying a rotating inspection probe with a pulling mechanism. The used probe can be either Ultrasonic, Eddy Current or both combined.

control & periphery

To operate our robotic platforms as well as legacy scanners we have developed our own industrial control solutions. Combined with miniature encoders and electronic couplant pumps it is a great support for the complete inspection procedure.

software solutions

From 3D simulation for vessel inspection to completely autonomous tank inspection. We translate advanced algorithms into modern and user friendly software packages.

generator inspection

Inspection Robotics' solutions for in-situ turbogenerator inspection allow for fast and reliable condition assessment of all makes and brands of turbogenerators
